2019 Training Seminar for International Members of Shanghai Gold Exchange was Successfully Held in Shanghai, China

To further promote the internationalization of Shanghai Gold Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “SGE”), enhance business proficiency of international members, and strengthen the quality of membership service and customer loyalty, Shanghai Gold Exchange International (hereinafter referred to as “SGEI”) held the 2019 Training Seminar for International Members on December 10th and 11th. Nearly 90 delegates, including international members and representatives from overseas institutions interested in participating in the international board, attended the training seminar. The attendees are from more than 10 countries and regions worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Russia, Britain, Switzerland, Turkey, Chile, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Thailand. 

Ms ZHAO Fanghua, General Manager of SGEI, pointed out that the international board has been devoted to enhancing international marketing and business guidance, and promote the quality of membership service. In the future, SGEI will carry on with the internationalization and market-oriented development, host the Training Seminar for International Members on a regular basis, improve the scale and quality of the training seminar, and build an open, professional, and international platform for promotion and communication of gold business for market participants.

During the training seminar, representatives from various departments of SGE introduced business including price-matching trading, price-asking trading, risk control, clearing, delivery, system operation and innovative business such as the “Gold Road” project and the NYAuTN contracts. Mr. Albert Cheng, CEO of SBMA, Mr. YANG Ruiqi, Executive Director of UOB China, and delegates from international members including BOC Shanghai Free Trade Zone Branch, BOC Hong Kong, MTS Gold Global Trading, Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank were invited to deliver speech and share business experience. 

The training seminar was highly regarded by international members for its systematic courses, informative contents, and innovative forms. Through the training seminar, international members became more familiar with the SGE business and broadened horizons for their business development. The training seminar played an essential and positive role in encouraging the institutions to participate in SGE business in the future.
